Growing up my Dad was in the Navy, but we were fortunate not to have to move often like most military families. We were stationed in Virginia until my Freshman year in high school when we moved to Indiana. I went to High School and College in Indiana. I met my late husband while I was in college, through a passion we both possessed... horses!
I have always LOVED horses and I would pray to God asking him for my own horse... Be careful what you pray for, I feel like for every time I prayed for a horse when I was younger, a horse enters my life... my family runs a horse rescue. I also have an obsession with poultry. I have raised ducks, geese, turkeys, chickens, and peacocks. Why? Simply because I enjoy them. My latest adventure includes raising Nigerian Dwarf Goats, which you can check out on my hobby farm site, Twinkle Little Farm.
I am a Christian, a follower of Christ, and believe in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the virgin birth and the resurrection on Jesus Christ. I am trying to learn as much as possible and follow Christ they way He wants me to. I fail miserably all the time, but I will continue to do the best that I can. God has blessed our family and the horses more times than I can count and I know he has special plans for us.
I was married to THE most wonderful man on Earth, he was my best friend, my lover, my confidant, my inspiration, my everything... even though I didn't tell him that enough. He gave me the best gift ever, our baby girls! You can learn about his passing, by clicking here.
I enjoy being a work at home mom and taking care of our 2 little girls! They are both so much fun to watch grow and learn. They have become such good friends and sisters, I couldn't ask God for better children. I am so excited to have a front row seat in their lives and I can't wait to watch it unfold before my eyes.
You can learn even more about me through my blog, there are a lot of cool things nestled within my archives!
