Basic H Review & Giveaway

Claire, a Shaklee Director, and author of Claire's Healthy Home  asked me to check out Shaklee’s #1 selling cleaning product is Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate. It is naturally derived, supersafe, and a superconcentrated formula with a thousand uses.

This product can be used on any washable surface – indoors or out: Walls, Windows and Mirrors, Countertops, Floors, Appliances, Stoves, Sealed Woodwork, Pots and Pans, Furniture

Each little vial holds enough Basic H² to make two bottles of powerful cleaner when diluted in 16 ounces of water.

Directions
First, mix 2 drops to 16 oz. of water in a Spray Bottle for cleaning windows and mirrors. Then, mix 1/4 tsp. to 16 oz. of water in a Spray Bottle for all-purpose cleaning.

My experience with Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate was awesome! As with any cleaning product, I test its strength in the bathroom! Why? Well, because we live on a farm and the bathroom tends to get the most grime from the sheer fact that you get REALLY dirty on a farm.
So, I started with the dreaded sink as always, check out the results:


I found that with really dirty areas it worked best if I let the area soak in the Basic H for a few minutes. I didn't really have to do much scrubbing, the Basic H seemed to lift the dirt off the surface and made it relatively easy to just wipe away. I was very pleased with its cleaning ability as well as with the fact that it didn't stink link normal cleaners. There wasn't an overbearing ordor during or after the bathroom was cleaned, which is a HUGE plus for me.

Little Sister had left a HUGE mess in her BebePod Chair after dinner one night and I didn't get to cleaning it until it was already dry and stuck on the chair. The once white straps were a brownish mixture of dinner that night and I thought they would NEVER get clean. I decided to clean the seat and soak the straps in the Basic H. I wish I had thought to get photos of the chair and straps, but my Mommy brain kicked in and I totally forgot. I was so excited when all the grime just wiped off the chair and it looked like new! I used a little nail scrubber brush on the straps and they came out almost as white as the had origonally been. I was totally shocked, this prodcut really works!

Along with its amazing ability to clean, I LOVE the fact that is safe! Safe for the environment and safe for me to use around our pets and children! Basic H is nontoxic, contains no toxic fumes, hypoallergenic, contains no hazardous chemicals, no chlorine, no kerosene, no dodecylbenzene-sulfonate, no phenol, no cresol, no lye, no morpholine, no petroleum distillates, no benezene, no ammonia, and no paradichlorobenzene. Did you know that in 2005 there were 218,316 poison exposures from household cleaning prodcuts? I venture to guess that those numbers are even higher now. If your a mom life me, you DO NOT want any of your family members to be included in that statistic!

Overall, I think the Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate is an amazing cleaner. I would recommend this product for anyone wanting to use Green products or even Mom's who clean with their children around. You don't have to worry about them accidently getting into any harmful chemicals!
